Toki Pona is a minimal constructed language with roughly 120–140 core words, designed to express ideas through simple, combinatorial vocabulary. It is not tied to a fictional world — it is an original conlang — and it is unusually friendly for a first constructed-language experiment. Start with the official book excerpts and free courses, then join community chats once basic phrases stick.
Speaker counts are approximate orders of magnitude for learners, not census figures. Family labels follow Glottolog-style classification; vitality notes (when shown) follow UNESCO WAL / Ethnologue-style framing and should be re-checked for program planning.
