Intermediate operating system (Korean)
B1–B2 Korean stalls when you recognize subtitles but cannot self-produce. Fix with denser high-frequency vocabulary, speech-level discipline, weekly speaking, and media that steps up without restarting Hangul 101.
Four-week plateau block
- Density — First 500 + topic decks; two work/school sentences daily.
- Output — two short emails or Kakao-style messages rewritten into appropriate 해요체 / 합니다체.
- Media step-up — graded news → one harder short clip; 90-second retell.
- Integration — tutor on this month’s topics only; 120-word opinion with three connectors (그래서, 하지만, 그리고).
Model plateau message: 안녕하세요. 보고서는 목요일까지 보내드리겠습니다. 월요일 데이터가 아직 도착하지 않아서요. 괜찮으실까요?
Korean plateau traps
- Speech-level mistakes ignored for months
- Grammar apps without diary lines
- News too hard → quitting listening entirely
- Collecting slang while workplace frames stay English

A solid practice day
Finish one denser input, invent three situational sentences, record a retell. Step down difficulty before adding apps. Log whether you stalled on vocabulary, frames, or speaking courage.
