Esperanto is a constructed international language designed for regular grammar and quick early progress, with vocabulary drawn mainly from European languages. The free ecosystem is unusually complete — Lernu, Duolingo, podcasts, and worldwide meetups. Use it as a confidence builder or as a bridge into Romance and Germanic study habits.
Speaker counts are approximate orders of magnitude for learners, not census figures. Family labels follow Glottolog-style classification; vitality notes (when shown) follow UNESCO WAL / Ethnologue-style framing and should be re-checked for program planning.
